As the monsoon sets in, the Bengaluru South City Corporation (BSCC) has drawn up a list of ten locations across the city that flood every year, aiming to get ahead of the seasonal disruption. The list includes Hulimavu Lake Junction, the stretch from Sagar Junction to Sagar Hospital Road, HSR Layout’s 14th Main, Sony World Junction, the Outer Ring Road, Sri Rangam Junction, and the Bellandur-Iblur junction, among others.
BSCC Commissioner K.N. Ramesh met with traffic police to coordinate continuous monitoring of these stretches and ensure faster response to complaints during the season. Officials say the move is intended to reduce both traffic congestion and accident risk once the heavy rains begin in earnest.
