The 135th edition of the Durand Cup, India’s oldest football tournament, begins on July 25 in Kolkata and will run for a month across five cities, including Ranchi, Imphal, Shillong, and Guwahati. Five Indian Super League clubs have confirmed participation: defending champions NorthEast United FC, Kolkata giants East Bengal FC, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Jamshedpur FC, and SC Delhi.
The tournament arrives just ahead of the 2026-27 domestic football calendar, giving clubs a competitive run-out before the new ISL season kicks off in September.
