Indian technology firms currently earn an estimated $10 to $12 billion in AI services revenue, but Nasscom projects that agentic AI could add another $300 to $400 billion in addressable tech-services spend by 2030. The projection was shared at the Nasscom US CEO Forum in New York in late June.
Industry watchers note a gap between ambition and readiness: India has more than 2 million AI-skilled professionals, but only 100,000 to 200,000 with advanced skills — a scarcity that continues to make it difficult for companies to hire people capable of deploying production-grade AI systems.
