The newly inaugurated CG Semi OSAT facility in Sanand, Gujarat, has reached an annual production capacity of 20 crore semiconductor units, with plans to scale up to a targeted 500 crore units per year. The facility represents a step in India’s push to build out a complete domestic semiconductor value chain, from raw materials to finished chips.
Officials say the plant’s ramp-up strategy focuses on policy stability and rapid project execution, both of which are being positioned as key factors in attracting further investment into India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
